As Senior Treasury Product Controller you’ll be responsible for financial analysis, reporting and control for Group Treasury (GT) business within ING Australia.
You’ll manage all aspects of Treasury Accounting, including hedge accounting and keeping up to date on developments in accounting standards while conducting regular engagement with both Treasury and Market Risk colleagues.
You’ll ensure day-to-day compliance and integrity of the general ledger system through monitoring of treasury related transactions & control reconciliations.

What you’ll do
- Assist offshore Treasury Accountants with GT related reporting (e.g. preparation of daily P&L, NPV P&L, daily Balance Sheet and intersystem reconciliations etc.)
- Maintain and update existing Excel VBA macro reporting system for Treasury Financial Control
- Liaise with Finance Transformation team to move to SQL based reporting system
- Report on ad hoc analysis and forecast which aid in supporting management and Treasury in decision making
- Work closely with the wider finance team to develop insights into reporting outputs ensuring analysis and advice provided enable these group functions to drive required business performance
- Own and control the Treasury system (Quantum) and ensuring intersystem alignment
- Deploy daily risk and control measures and ensuring compliance with clear identification and escalation of breaches
- Conduct continuous process improvement around Treasury reporting
- Build out the P&L attribution
What we’re looking for
- Knowledge of banking and treasury products
- Previous experience in a Treasury Finance role
- Attention to detail and a passion for deriving insight from data
- Experience with Treasury Trading Systems (preferably Quantum) (nice to have)
- Hedging experience (nice to have)
- Critical thinking and working with various teams within the organisation to deliver results
