Job Description

We are currently seeking an exceptional candidate for the position of Engineer I, Field Service at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. Responsibilities:

• Perform on-site installation, validation, and commissioning of ion and liquid chromatography and mass spectrometers.
• Perform on-site service, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
• Provide on-site customer training.
• Resolve service issues promptly and accurately by managing the process of addressing customer concerns and warranty claims.
• Collaborate with multi-functional work teams such as field applications, customer support/services, product management, manufacturing, and marketing/sales.
• Create and maintain service information in the company database.
• Timely and professionally handled field service calls and issues arising from field service visits.
• Complete and submit all required paperwork on time.
• Perform miscellaneous other duties commensurate with the capabilities of a Field Service Engineer.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Good technical expertise in ion and liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry, preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in providing on-site support, maintenance, and repairs.
• Effective communication/interpersonal management skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multi-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
