Global Consumer Platforms Developer

As a part of the Consumer Hub Team, the role of a Global Consumer Platforms Developer will have accountability for state-of-the-art global marketing or corporate websites for Lilly along with improving the capabilities and services provided by the IDS Social Media and Search Team. As a website custodian, you are responsible for ensuring that websites are developed, validated, maintained and retired according to policy and procedure. You will work directly with Front End Web Developers to ensure design, content and technical accuracy of websites you manage. This is a fast-paced role which needs flexibility and agility to balance fast turn arounds. You should be an expert in front end website development, social media and search engine optimization. You will collaborate with other key stakeholders including designers, account managers and website owners. You would work with business operations to lead and build social and search roadmaps based on business priorities. You would need to proactively search out solutions when no blueprint currently exists and be able to manoeuvre a new space with not much documented support. You should be passionate about expanding existing capabilities to a global scale. This role requires constant communication and coordination with key stakeholders across multiple countries.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Receive inbound requests for service and assess them for technical accuracy
• Assign request to development team and monitor progress
• Verify request is completed to design, content and functional specification
• Ensure creation of approval PDF matches site
• Track and execute change requests through approval process
• Ensure site meets all policies and procedures
• Site deployment
• Ensure site is in inventory and monitored appropriately
• Perform proactive health monitoring of site
• Continuously improve the capabilities and services provided by the IDS Social Media and Search Team
• Provide Global and Regional brand teams with the appropriate tools to monitor and improve effectiveness.
• Proactively search out solutions when no blueprint currently exists and be able to maneuver a new space with not much documented support
• Define scope, gain stakeholder alignment, and define audiences on any new technology advancements
• Engage with the business and dedicatedly seek opportunities for IT to deliver value to the business.
• Continuously assess technology with same or better capabilities against the current tools in-house to stay competitive in the digital realm
• Analyze existing business processes and participate in reengineering efforts.
• Understand business requirements and effectively translates business needs and process into technical terms, and vice versa.
• Lead the definition and gathering of requirements and propose changes to existing services and capabilities
• Ensure appropriate business roles are engaged in solution execution across all functions.

Education Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 3-5 years of IT/Programming experience

Mandatory Skills Required:

Hands on experience in the following technical skills:

• 3-5 years of experience in web development
• Excellent coordination skills and ability to balance many projects at once
• Knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, API’s, responsive web design, general web functions and standards
• The position requires constant communication with colleagues
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in working in Scrum - agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management (GITHUB), build processes, Jira

Experience in development and deployment on cloud infrastructure

• Experience working on multiple projects at once

• Pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience
