Software Engineering Intern

Note - This will be a 6 months internship programme based in Singapore, the right to work in Singapore is required.

• Work closely with other engineers, product managers, designers and data scientists to build features and run experiments.
• Write clean, testable code.
• Work with the infrastructure team to deploy, scale and optimize the performance of solutions.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain and contribute to a high-quality code culture.
• Learn to design and implement scalable solutions starting from broadly defined problems and first principles.
• Brainstorm with the team to understand the requirements and participate in the design discussion

• Basic Golang Proficiency: A fundamental understanding of the Go programming language and its syntax.
• Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to break down complex problems and come up with effective solutions.
• Teamwork and Communication: Effective collaboration and communication skills within a team setting.
• Learning Agility: A willingness and ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
• User-Centric Mindset: An understanding of basic user needs and the ability to translate those needs into features and improvements, enhancing the overall user experience on the Carousell platform.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing Degree in Computer Science, Software engineering or other equivalent degrees/experience.
