Associate Energy Data Management Analyst

About the Role

We are looking for an Associate Energy Data Management Analyst to join our Berlin office on Ernst-Reuter-Platz. This person will provide direct support to our Energiedatamanager to ensure the smooth running of daily and monthly balancing and billing operations at Trailstone.

In this role you will have the opportunity to learn and understand the German energy market from the bottom up, becoming a go-to data specialist for the business in time. As a naturally collaborative role, you will also have the opportunity to work with Trailstone's Originators, Analysts and external Market participants as an important source of data, key to their business decisions. We are really excited about this role, and the exposure this person will have as they develop within our business.

This will be a full-time role, owning the following responsibilities:

• Energy Data Analysis and Processing: Owning the responsibility for analysing incoming data in the meter data management area. This includes identifying and resolving issues, as well as conducting plausibility checks of preliminary values.
• Coordination with Market Partners: Provide close coordination with other market partners to ensure consistent smooth data transfers. This involves communication and coordination regarding the transmission and exchange of data.
• Master Data Administration: Taking charge of administering the master data of metering points, requiring accurate and careful work.

About You

This hire will be joining a small team in Berlin to support and strengthen our Energy Trading Operations through key data management. An interest in the Renewable Energy arena, and attention to detail will be the key to success here. As an Associate Level within our business, this role is best suited to someone looking to start their career after recently completing their academic studies. In addition, we are looking for somebody with the following attributes:

• Education: A recently completed "Ausbildung" / commercial training placement (e.g. Industrial Clerk of IT System Management Clerk) or a Bacherlor's Degree is required.
• IT Knowledge: A very good understanding of IT systems and processes is essential to effectively manage the complex data flows and systems in the energy sector.
• Analytical Skills: Enjoyment in analysing and elucidating unknown connections, along with an analytical, goal-oriented and solution-focused mindset, are crucial.
• Independence and Initiative: The ability to work independently and show initiative is critical for success in this role.
• Industry Experience: Some experience in the energy sector is desirable to understand the specific challenges and requirements of the industry. However this is not essential to be considered.
• Language Skills: At least C1 Level in German, as well as B1 or B2 Level in English.
