Job Description Summary:

You will run FP&A processes and closely track PayPal’s Small Businesses & Financial Services Business Unit “SMB & FS BU” financial performance. You will own and deliver the BU narrative and will drive actionable insights through quantitative and qualitative analyses.

Meet our team:
You will be part of the PayPal’s SMB & FS FP&A global team and you will report into the FP&A Director. You will be based in Europe (UK or Luxembourg) and will directly engage with the BU Leadership Team and BU Cross-Functional Teams – Product FP&A, Pricing, Commercial, Analytics, Technology.

Job Description:

Your way to impact

  • You will gain a deep understanding of PayPal’s business across different products and regions. You will expand knowledge to cover the full P&L down to Operating Income, as well as operating metrics.
  • You will facilitate trade-off decisions, support strategy setting and influence end-to-end decision making through the use of financial and quantitative tools & analysis.

Your day to day

  • In your day to day role, you will support the coordination of weekly, monthly, or quarterly FP&A cadences. You will partner with the Product FP&A, Commercial, and Pricing teams to gather business & regional insights.
  • You will monitor financial trends and report performance against defined targets across various groups and to the Leadership Team, enabling strategy setting and decision making.
  • You will build new and enhance existing frameworks (models and reports) to consolidate and analyze the BU performance with full overview of the P&L.
  • You will aim at optimizing and automating processes towards efficient and scalable solutions, in cooperation with Global FP&A, Analytics, and Technology teams.
  • You will champion PayPal’s values and foster team well-being. You will constantly promote inclusion, collaboration, integrity, transparency, trust, and respect.

What do you need to bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics or related quantitative discipline.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Experience in SQL and dashboard creation
  • Experience in building and challenging financial models, using analysis skills and commercial acumen to provide effective counsel and support to non-finance decision makers.
  • Ability to work across functions, organization & geographies and influence peers and more senior colleagues.
  • Experience in distilling complex financial analyses and preparing powerful presentations with a crisp and clear storyline.
  • Self-driven and capable of working independently on team deliverables.
