WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will play an important role in shaping the architecture and making projects executable. You will come up with technical solutions and spend most of your time implementing these solutions, testing your own work and the work of others. In addition, you will engage proactively with backend engineers to help define databases and API contracts, and collaborate with UI/UX designers to bring web and mobile applications designs to life.

Furthermore, as a senior, you will support our Head of Engineering and Technical Guides. Your seasoned experience will make you the go-to expert for RN within the team. You will adapt to Elements' way of working and make suggestions to improve it. Last but not least, we would love to see that you have a natural drive to stay up-to-date with the latest technological innovations.

With our increasing focus on React Native for mobile applications, both for our existing and greenfield projects, you will have the exciting opportunity to apply your skills across a range of innovative applications.

Requirements

WHAT YOU NEED

• At least 6 years of experience in software development using HTML, CSS, and Typescript/JavaScript, with sound knowledge of modern libraries and tools
• At least 3 years of professional experience with React Native and building hybrid mobile solutions
• Experience with either web frontend technologies (React) or in native mobile development
• Solid grasp of interfacing with RESTful APIs
• Experienced in Unit and E2E testing (we use Jest, Cypress, Maestro)
• Hands-on experience bringing mobile to production with CI/CD
• Previous exposure to agile project methodology (Scrum)
• Experience in technical guidance of junior developers
• Excellent English language
• Strong communication skills, experience with liaising with the clients and explaining complex technical matters in a simpler language that anyone can understand
• Results-oriented attitude and a creative problem solver
• Flexible, open-minded and friendly
• Independent thinker, yet committed to company’s and team’s success
• Due to the urgency of this role we can only consider candidates already located in NL and/or possessing a valid work permit for NL/EU
