About the Team

Our Core Financials Product Management team at Workday empowers our customers with intuitive experience, powerful innovation and business compliance that drives digital transformation and operational efficiency. As part of the industry leading Workday Financial Management, we handle product roadmaps, design features and new products to meet customer and market needs. We collaborate closely with customers, our strategy teams and implementation and support leadership to ensure our products empower digital transformations in the office of the CFO.

About the Role

Are you a Portfolio manager, Project Owner, or Product Manager? Are you passionate about software products that excite end-users like yourself? Software that enables users to spend less time consolidating data across different systems, requires minimal training and is very user friendly without sacrificing functionality and compliance.
We want your points of view and fresh ideas for our market-leading Financial Management solution!

You will lead product managers in their day to day work designing features and prioritizing the roadmap. In partnership with development, QA and documentation teams, you will develop highly performing agile scrum teams that can deliver on our strategic roadmap. You will also be encouraged to bring passion every day and;

  • Drive the product design process.
  • Plan releases and sets roadmaps.
  • Manages the team to design features and set functional requirements, then tracks and reports progress against goals.
  • Ensures timely and high-quality delivery of the product using Agile.
  • Collaborate to enable functional process requirements to be deeply understood and embraced by technical audiences.
  • Ensure business value is at the forefront through the entire product development life cycle.
  • Innovate the customer experience by leading through powerful product management techniques
  • Lead cross functional internal teams such as consultants, production support, training, documentation and sales to ensure alignment and customer success.

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of people leadership experience or equivalent
  • 10+ years of related experience as a Portfolio Manager, Practice Manager, or Product Manager

Other Qualifications

  • Functional knowledge of one or more of the following areas: financial reporting, consolidation, accounting and reconciliation
  • A fast learner, thorough, conclusive, and enjoy a fast-paced work environment
  • An initiative taker, early adopter, technology enthusiast
  • A good communicator, presenter and collaborator
  • Can influence without direct authorityโ€‹

Skills/Experience

  • Passion and ideas for how to build better financial enterprise business applications

  • Experience leading or mentoring a team

  • Confirmed design skills for packaged financial applications for large global enterprises

  • Solid knowledge of financial and accounting rules, processes and regulations

  • Experience with SaaS

  • Experience with scrum and other agile development methods
