We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Data Engineering team at our Berlin HQ.

🎯 What you will contribute:

  • Data Modelling: Develop, optimize, and maintain data models for Data Scientists and Data Analysts, working closely with Data Engineering designing ETLs.
  • Data Architecture: Contribute to the data architecture design as part of the Data Architecture Workgroup, implementing Data Mesh concepts and enabling a self-service distributed approach.
  • Data Quality & Governance: Implement robust data quality checks and governance protocols to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with relevant regulations such as GDPR. Contribute to our Data Governance policies as part of the Data Governance Workgroup.
  • Collaborative Analysis: Partner with Data Scientists, Data, and Business Analysts to unlock insights from our data, contributing to business strategies and objectives. Maintain & improve KPIs and metrics.
  • Process Improvement: Conduct periodic reviews of internal analytics processes and workflows, recommending and implementing improvements in automation, optimization, and scalability.
  • Innovation: Keep your finger on the pulse of industry trends and emerging technologies, proactively suggesting tools and methodologies to elevate our analytics capabilities.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Pair up with Data Product Managers and engage with stakeholders from 15+ domains to initiate and deliver impactful Data Products that contribute to company-wide goals.

🤝What you bring:

  • 4+ years of Analytics Engineering experience, preferably within a fast-paced startup environment. Experience as a Senior Analytics Engineer is a big plus
  • Cloud Computing: Hands-on experience with AWS (certification is a plus); specifically with S3, Redshift, Athena, and Glue. A big plus is experience with SageMaker, Databricks, Snowflake, GCP
  • Data Modeling: Proficient in creating scalable data models that serve a variety of user needs
  • Technical Skills: Mastery in SQL and proficiency in Python. A big plus is experience with R, Java, or Scala
  • Data & Software Architecture: experience with modern data & software architectures, e.g. Lambda, Lakehouse, EDA, SOA
  • ETL Tools: skilled in building robust ETL processes using tools like Apache Airflow, Spark, AWS Glue ETL, or Airbyte. Familiarity with DBT is a plus
