The IT Engineer II is a problem solver who analyzes models/designs, creates, modifies, and supports a set of complex systems, processes, or operations that enable business capabilities for Harland Clarke.
We are building a modernized manufacturing control system to drive multiple printing plants. We have the benefit of a legacy system to learn from, but we are building new! Where practical, we're using commercial software, but need to augment with custom components.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Designs, develops, and implements Complex Business Rules
- Creates Application and System Design Documents
- Develops Applications / Reports / Systems
- Estimates component/application and system level work efforts
- Participates on initiatives with deliverables and meets quality standards on time
- Provides guidance to and assists in training less experienced individuals; Delivers personal tasks on time and leads the delivery of tasks for natural or cross-functional workgroup
Requirements
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree (Required)
- In lieu of the above education requirements, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years experience
- Demonstrated experience integrating commercial software packages into larger processes
- Experience with automated workflow control (Camunda or similar)
- Exposure to commercial print composition is a plus (XMPie, Solimar or similar)
- Experience in manufacturing processes is a plus
- Exception handling to guarantee predictable process results
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Understanding of process flows and integration of human workflow with automated processes
- Ability to assess a complex landscape and clearly articulate recommendations
- Well organized, methodical and able to clearly communicate
- Adaptability to varying programming environments such as C#, Angular / JS, Python, RESTful API's, SQL Server
- Familiarity with BPMN process notation is helpful
