Remote - The Netherlands
Your role as Regional Sales Manager;
You will report directly to the Regional Sales Director and you have 3 direct reports reporting into you. These reports are based in the UK, Sweden and The Netherlands. You are a key member of the European Sales Team.
In this role you have a sales target responsibility and a management responsibility.
Your sales responsibility will be only for the Benelux but your management responsibility will be for the Benelux, Nordics and the UK. You will manage the people in those countries but your own sales target will be only focussed on the Benelux.
The preferred candidate has a technical educational background in preferably mechanical engineering, has technical sales experience in a similar business and shows tenacity in getting involved in all aspects of the role.
Management experience would be a big plus and has our preference.
The role is a home-based/ a remote working role with frequent travelling. The ideal candidate will be based in the Netherlands and occasional travel to the company’s sales office in Zwaag (The Netherlands) is required.
This position is part of the Business Unit Performance Carbon of Morgan Advanced Materials and operates in the markets of industrial, power-generation, rail and wind turbines, in the areas of mechanical engineering and engine construction. Morgan produces e.g. electrical carbon brushes and collectors, brush holders, slip rings and motor maintenance systems, to name some.
You customers are small and medium sized companies as well with multinational companies, which requires to shift between a shop floor and a corporate environment within a blink of the eye.
You are responsible for driving profitable sales by expanding current accounts and the building of new business. You drive operational effectiveness and have a direct influence on the strategic development of the company’s product range, responsible for generating new business, and networking with professionals in the target markets to support growth & profitability.
What you need to bring:
• At least 5 years of technical sales experience, within a manufacturing environment;
• Management experience;
• Relevant engineering or materials educational background;
• Languages Dutch and English;
• Outgoing personality able to build high quality relationships with customers at all levels;
• Financial acumen and numeric aptitude;
• Understanding and experience of both direct and indirect sales channels;
• An understanding of high-value added products and technical solution selling;
• Confident and influential communicator at all levels;
• Able to demonstrate technical acumen to a wide range of audiences;
• IT literate and proficient in using Microsoft 365 suite;
• Flexibility to work as necessary to satisfy business needs with 40-50% of travel to visit customers with some overnight stays required.
