Job Family Definition:

The Cloud Developer builds from the ground up to meet the needs of mission-critical applications, and is always looking for innovative approaches to deliver end-to-end technical solutions to solve customer problems. Brings technical thinking to break down complex data and to engineer new ideas and methods for solving, prototyping, designing, and implementing cloud-based solutions. Collaborates with project managers and development partners to ensure effective and efficient delivery, deployment, operation, monitoring, and support of Cloud engagements. The Cloud Developer provides business value expertise to drive the development of innovative service offerings that enrich HPE's Cloud Services portfolio across multiple systems, platforms, and applications.

What you will do:

Cloud developer will be responsible for design & development of various modules Compute Ops Management/OneView platform part of Compute Business which includes traditional on premise manageability software solutions as well as next generation as a service (SAAS) data centre management solutions. The role includes owning and driving product architecture, product feature definition, software design, software development and on‐going product support. Projects typically involve coordination with internal and external development partners.

Responsibilities:

· Lead project teams technically during all stages of design and development for complex products and platforms, including solution design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration.

· Analyses design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution.

· Develops architectures and methodologies for secure software systems design and security standards compliance

· Ability to think and operate as a team player & build technical leadership in team

· Day-to-day working knowledge of contemporary source code development tools and techniques

· Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, including with remote teams.

· Ability to learn complex technology quickly, work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment

· Must be able to multi-task, manage details and keep sight of overall objectives

· Have Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills

What you need to bring:

Education and Experience Required:

· Typically, 7+ years of hands-on development experience building complex software applications.

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.

Knowledge and Skills:

The Technology Stack we use -

· Backend: Python, Java or Golang

· Data Sources: Redis, Kafka, Postgres

· Infrastructure: Docker and Kubernetes, AWS and bare-metal

· OS – Unix/Linux

· Metrics and logs: Grafana and Prometheus, Humio, New Relic, Elasticsearch-Logstash-Kibana

· Proven record of Python/Java/Golang programming, contributing to released software.

· Well versed with architecting cloud applications that run on popular public cloud services such as AWS and Azure.

· Solid grasp of computer science concepts including data structures, object-oriented design, distributed computing and cloud computing paradigms.
