Our ambition is for customers to understand and value their cover and be confident that we’ll be there when they need us most. As an Innovation and Propositions Manager, you will be focused on bringing this ambition to life for members in our Group life insurance channel.

You will be responsible for ideating, supporting, and executing our propositions strategy and roadmap. This means developing and deploying a range of initiatives/programs to support our members and superfund partners.

This role is a 9-month contract, working flexibly from our Sydney office.

In this role you will:

  • Use Google Sprint, Human-Centered Design, LEAN project methodologies, and your own strategic problem-solving skills to lead the development of prioritised solutions into propositions and prototypes.
  • Be involved with creating an idea, to design, evaluation, customer journey mapping, problem statements, through to build, execution, and implementation (take to market).
  • Monitor and manage member response through data and proposition evolvement.
  • Apply the right research frameworks to incorporate customer/partner feedback to continuously refine TA’Ls Health proposition, Member Engagement proposition, and Employer propositions according to customer needs.
  • Monitor and analyse market developments to help manage the portfolio of propositions and pipeline of new opportunities.
  • Lead concept testing and user testing to validate and iterate propositions and prototypes – along with developing a business case, submitting for technology prioritisation/estimation and funding.
  • In co-ordination with relevant teams across TAL, develop and pilot innovations that involve specific engagement initiatives/programs, together with our superfund partners following TALs innovation playbook.
  • Work together with our Group Partnerships Team in engagement with superannuation funds to secure buy-in in delivering proposition(s) and innovations within agreed timelines.
  • Present new concepts, frameworks, approaches, and propositions to internal and external stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Facilitate workshops with key stakeholders, including senior stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience in innovation programs
  • Experience in the development of digital solutions and taking them to market for members to use
  • Project management experience with small squads – LEAN proposition development
  • Practical knowledge of sprint and agile methodologies
  • Experience in conducting primary customer research
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Workshop facilitation skills
  • Effective influencing & negotiation skills
  • Experience working within insurance or superannuation, desired
