Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for our Reynosa, MX location. The basic function for this role will include the compilation of cost information for products and services for a specific job or project. It also encompasses the investigation of costs that differ from expectations, assisting in resolving those differences and preparing reports.
The Financial Analyst establishes industrial cost and measurement of inventories in accordance with Group accounting standards, ensures implementation of financial analysis of Record to Report and quality of inventory reporting.
Prepares the reconciliations and justifications of the perimeter accounts (raw materials, semi-finished, finished goods).
Investigate, analyze and prepare financial and business information in support of various functional groups. Compile information and prepare reports, graphs and charts. Analyze trends affecting various financial activities. Recommend and implement measures to improve operations and services to customers.
Typical duties/responsibilities for finance may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Audit and analyze a variety of financial information used in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, business plans, prices, services, and submit results.
Updating/managing cash flow budget and reconciling bank balances
Forecasting and P&L planning.
Month end closing for accounting.
Payroll expenses tracking and analysis.
Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
Maintains historical records by filing documents.
Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Provide weekly reports and lead team meeting to review and discuss variances.
Collect and analyze financial information to prepare entries in accounts, such as general ledger accounts that document business transactions.
Balance general ledger accounts with supporting documentation on payroll, workers' compensation, health insurance, legal and miscellaneous expense accounts.
Review Accounts Payable entries for reasonableness and accuracy and approve and post batches.
Review inventory value for accuracy.
Responsible for preparing supporting documentation for weekly forecasts.
Help the cycle counting team resolve any counting variations.
Provide documentation and support to company auditors who request it.
Analyze intercompany activity to ensure accounts are reconciled at the end of the month and prepares selected journal entries at the end of the month.
Audit financial information and databases from different areas
Process audit for automation.
KPΓS Monitoring in General
Make investment recommendations with the lowest possible risk
Preparation of Financial Statements and Trial Balance reviews for electronic accounting.
Documentation of Internal Controls
Prepare and analyze the Income Statement monthly.
Prepare closing reports by cost center.
Detect, analyze and propose corrective measures to deviations from the budget in the Income Statement.
Carry out monthly module closing activities in SAP.
Review and propose day-to-day indicators that timely detect deviations and areas of opportunity.
Support import/Export with annex 20/30 reconciliation.
Support Finance Manager with VAT analysis for recouperation.
Reconcile cycle count adjustments with PRISMA inventory.
Follow up manual bookkeeping in Compaq.
Follow up manual bookkeeping in NetSuite.
Consolidate financial statements in NetSuite.
Work collaboratively with the finance team to develop and update the company's financial plan.
Conduct financial analysis and prepare reports for management.
Monitor the company's budget and perform variance analysis.
Create clear and concise financial reports using data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Maintain and quantify risks and opportunities in business performance and conduct scenario and sensitivity analy-sis.
Identify opportunities to improve business and financial processes.
Assist with various financial analysis and reporting requirements to the Corporate Office.
Record journal entries and perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the accounting records are appropriately maintained and in compliance with IFRS.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy, analyze the General Ledger transactions to ensure accurate posting to proper accounts.
Prepare monthly and annual variance analysis for balance sheet and Profit & Loss accounts.
Participate in month-end and year-end financial reporting activities.
Provide audit support as requested, including accumulating supporting documentation.
Conduct special studies and work with other departments on such matters as preparation of reports, development of procedures and controls, and processing of expenses. Review data and obtain additional information, as appropriate.
Prepare, install and maintain controls for a principal financial or other functional area. Recommend improvements to contain costs, increase oversight capability and be responsive to customer requirements.
Work with suppliers, auditors, consultants, agency representatives and employees to explain practices, respond to questions, and resolve or assist in resolving discrepancies.
Complexity of Tasks:
Requires thorough knowledge of financial policies and procedures, and ability to effectively interpret financial operating statistics and communicate information to management. Financial activities, analyses, studies and research are varied and somewhat difficult, and usually involve a moderate level of responsibility.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or related field plus 2 to 5 years of experience or a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
