The opportunity

Join our dynamic and innovative team as an IT Chapter Lead for Test engineering. This role offers you the chance to be part of ING's Wholesale Banking Lending Organization and contribute to building the future of Wholesale Banking. We are focused on creating a fast, seamless, personalized, and data-driven digital lending experience to become the best digital Wholesale bank. As an IT Chapter Lead, you will have the opportunity to coach and develop chapter members while working as a Senior Dev Engineer in a squad that improves the digital customer journey.

The team

As an IT Chapter Lead within the Rating & Financials area, you will be responsible for test engineering and leading a team of engineers who are responsible for testing credit rating and financial insight services. You will actively participate in a guild dedicated to your discipline and help develop, update, and embed expertise within the tribe. The team consists of talented individuals who are passionate about digital innovations and delivering exceptional results.

Roles and responsibilities

β€’ Build up expertise in your chapter and develop chapter members while working as a Senior Test Engineer.

β€’ Safeguard the ING One Agile Way of Working and uphold the Orange Code.

β€’ Hire and retain talented engineers, providing them with the freedom to pursue high quality test engineering, test automation and focus on continuous integration.

β€’ Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.

β€’ Work with peer chapter leads and IT (Area) Leads to create high-performing teams.

β€’ Maintain contacts with stakeholders and external parties, such as vendors, TPPs, and API providers.

β€’ Take into account the personal development goals of your chapter members when making decisions, such as supporting their attendance at conferences, providing access to books, or allowing them to fill in for you during vacations.

β€’ Address knowledge gaps and obstacles that hinder productivity, collaborating with IT (Area) Leads to resolve them promptly.

Skills and experience:

β€’ Master of Science in Computer Science or equivalent field.

β€’ Genuine interest in and understanding of corporate lending business and the evolving needs of our customers.

β€’ Passion for growing and developing technical talent.

β€’ Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

β€’ Minimum 2+ years of experience in a lead role for engineers.

β€’ Strong knowledge of test methods and test automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress)

β€’ 5+ years of experience in test automation for functional, regression and performance testing.

β€’ Experience in developing front-end web applications with JavaScript (ES6), HTML, and CSS, as well as front-end design patterns and web components.

β€’ Knowledge of continuous delivery, deployment tools, and pipelines, with experience working with Azure DevOps and Kubernetes on OpenShift.

β€’ Ability to thrive in a multicultural environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

β€’ Proven affinity and practical experience with Agile work and new organizational models.
