Cloud Solutions Architect

Responsibilities & Duties

• Design, implement, and manage robust, scalable, and secure cloud architecture on AWS.
• Develop and execute cloud strategies aligned with business goals and objectives.
• Lead the planning and execution of migrating existing on-premises applications to the cloud, ensuring smooth transitions and optimal performance.
• Implement best practices for security and compliance, ensuring all cloud solutions meet regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Continuously monitor cloud infrastructure performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing optimization strategies.
• Develop comprehensive documentation for cloud architectures and processes, and provide training and support to internal teams.

Technical skills:

• Strong prior experience on AWS Well Architected solutions
• Extensive knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and more.
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles and practices.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Apply AWS best practices to all solution architecture, design areas, etc. This includes areas such as Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, and Cost Optimization.
• Evaluate and recommend Big Data and cloud technology stack best suited for customer needs
• Hold strong understanding to analyze structural requirements for new software and Applications
• Experience to build CI/CD pipeline using AWS services
• Understanding of application modernization & migration
• Having good experience in AWS Security, Identity, & Compliance services.
• Having good experience in AWS Management & Governance services.

Requirements

• Advanced Certification: AWS Solutions Architect – Professional Certification.
• Experience: 6-8 years of experience in cloud architecture and design, with a focus on AWS
• Excellent Communication and Presentation skills
• Experience with Multi-Cloud Environments: Knowledge of other cloud platforms like Azure or Google Cloud.
• DevOps Experience: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and orchestration tools.
