The Vice President, Integrated Supply Chain will be a dynamic supply chain leader who is passionate about driving great results while developing great teams. The ideal candidate will understand the complexities of supply chain planning and execution across the entire order-to-cash cycle. This leader will bring enterprise level thinking to supply chain organization and has a track record of leading large cross-functional initiatives through strong collaboration, quality & timely decision-making mindset and leveraging their change management experience.

This is a leadership role overseeing and managing the development and implementation of high priority strategic business initiatives in a complex, multi-brand, catalogue-based life science market space. The candidate must possess strong business acumen and be able to lead and influence individuals and teams across multiple countries, while driving results through teamwork and collaboration.

In short, The VP Integrated Supply Chain must improve the customer experience by installing best practices across the supply chain processes, actively benchmarking lead times and delivery KPIs versus relevant competitors and brands.

Essentional Job Duties

  • Streamline and harmonize end-to-end customer order fulfilment and provide fastest speed, reliable promise to our customers, as well as optimize outbound fulfillment network efficiency that contribute to an overall cost-effective operation
  • Integrated Supply Chain consists of overseeing order intake, order fulfilment, supply chain excellence, shipping, and all inventory planning and forecasting
  • Drive the harmonization and standardization of the Integrated Supply Chain through structured process mapping, planning and technology deployment as appropriate
  • Oversee all distribution centers within this global LGC Standards business unit and look for opportunities to optimize within the business unit, across the other LGC entities and with key customers (projects)
  • Accountable for overseeing all regulatory and compliance matters with respect to product shipments
  • Provide direction to resolve key tactical, strategic sourcing, operational, and flow issues
  • Oversee Inbound Supply Chain operations including intercompany transactions, warehousing, and supplier management
  • International sourcing of strategic raw materials with numerous suppliers. This function needs to be managed and be complementary with corporate purchasing activities and take into consideration local, regional, and global considerations with respect to speed, effectiveness and efficiency
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies for key groups and departments with respect to Business Continuity concerns
  • Responsible for creating budgets and reporting weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually on financial performance and forecasts
  • Working with relevant site, local leaders to ensure optimized staffing levels, throughput, effectiveness, and efficiency across the system

Other Key relationsships

  • As part of the LGC Standards Global Leadership Team will be instrumental in setting strategy, leading and developing people and teams, supporting key cross functional processes, prioritizing work, allocating resources and driving the business forward
  • Actively engage with VP Sales and Marketing Ops to deliver short and medium-term delivery targets to drive NPS scores
  • Required to constructively engage with VPs of Operations to ensure resources, management oversight and support is adequate and aligned for required day to day business, programs, and initiatives
  • As a key user of operational technology and ERP systems the incumbent will be required to work collaboratively with the above parties as well as the Corporate IT Director for Standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering or Business Administration, or a related field
  • 10+ years’ experience of supply chain management in inventory planning, fulfillment, and logistics. (Catalogue business experience preferred)
  • 5+ years of international supply chain operation capability setup, and cross-border solution development
  • Operational excellence mindset, and experience in either operating in or developing a continuous improvement and operational excellence culture. Lean Six Sigma required and must have a track record of process creation, process mapping and process optimization
  • Successfully developed strategic plans, with the support of the leadership team to drive business results
  • Proven ability to navigate and succeed in a highly matrixed organization across many countries with both direct and indirect resources
  • Proven ability to inspire, collaborate with internal teams of cross-functional departments within logistics, planning, global sourcing, stores operations, finance and IT to support and establish strategic objectives
  • Proven ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights
  • Develop business cases for proposed capital projects
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
