Role profile:

Key role in the finance controllership team, contributing significantly to the data feed of Tradeweb data from Tradeweb ledgers into the Group financial statements.

ROLE SUMMARY:

Tradeweb group makes up around two thirds of the Capital Markets division and consists of 40+ entities (primarily based in US). Tradeweb have their own ledgers (Oracle) and they publish their own consolidated financial statements every quarter under US GAAP.

This role is a key contributor to ensuring that Tradeweb data are converted from US GAAP into IFRS and included into the group financial statements accurately and on time.

You will be the key point of contact for any Tradeweb-related queries (including the questions on Tradeweb financials from the consolidation team, auditors, FP&A team, IR team etc) and also responsible for managing relationship with Tradeweb reporting team.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Manage the relationship with Tradeweb and be the key point of contact.
  • Own the month end close process with respect to Tradeweb data and ensure the process is delivered consistently and on time.
  • Coordinating data feed from Tradeweb ledgers into LSEG ledgers (SAP);
  • To prepare or review and approve the SAP journals for accounts and BS movement type reclasses to correct data feed from Tradeweb ledgers (various types of adjustments);
  • To review and approve the SAP journals for IFRS conversion of Tradeweb data (to be drafted by junior member in Sri Lanka);
  • To correct Tradeweb data in HFM as required (Non-controlling interest movements, restricted cash, fix the HFM validation issues etc);
  • To generate the reports for the tax team and the auditors every quarter to explain adjustments posted to convert Tradeweb data from US GAAP to IFRS;
  • To provide the consolidation team and FP&A team with explanations for material BS and PL fluxes in Tradeweb entities (liaising with the Tradeweb team for further details);
  • To review and approve the monthly BS and PL reconciliations between Tradeweb ledgers balances and SAP balances (the reconciliations are prepared by COE team), differences should be investigated and corrected;
  • To generate the HFM reports for Tradeweb team (so Tradeweb team can run high level PL reconciliation on their side);
  • To coordinate the creation of new entities / accounts in SAP / LSEG Oracle / HFM as required to accommodate data flow from Tradeweb ledgers all the way to HFM;
  • Run Bex reports to ensure Tradeweb non-underlying data are reported consistently between various LSEG systems;
  • To review the interco revenues / interco COS journals from Tradeweb ledgers each month and reconcile them to the Interco revenues / Interco COS recorded in REF side assisting in resolving interco mismatches REF vs Tradeweb and identify any issues with revenues reporting in Tradeweb entities.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Degree (or equivalent) and qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent).
  • 5-8 years plus PQE.
  • Extensive and current knowledge of financial reporting standards.
  • Experienced user of SAP, Oracle and HFM.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with global colleagues.
  • Effective oral and written communication that resonates with the target audience.
  • Management skills to deal with other qualified senior accountants.
  • Pro-active behaviour that demonstrates initiative and positive work ethic to ensure activities are delivered to the required time, budget and quality.
  • Ability to utilise all available resources and toolsets to investigate and resolve problems and ensures the most appropriate solution is identified.
  • Strong planning and prioritising according to business needs.
