Ecolab is seeking a Head HR supporting our Global Business Services team**.**

This position is responsible for managing and delivering a full range of human resource programs and services for the GBS team. The position will be involved in human resource processes within the site including strategy formulation, business partnering, talent acquisition, talent development, organizational design and development, employee relations, compensation administration. The HR Manager/Director is a critical member of the site and responsible for setting the strategy of employee development and positive employee relations. This position will also partner with HR teams within the region and globally to share best practices and implement and align our HR policies and practices. This position will be responsible for building/managing the HR team in India, supporting the GBS organization.

What you will do:

  • Develop and implement forward-thinking human resources strategies, initiatives, and processes to support overall business objectives including talent acquisition, organizational design and development, performance management, compensation, employee engagement and retention, employee relations, and employee career development.
  • Build, lead and develop the HR team, identify and implement opportunities for improvement of core HR service delivery
  • Participate in the development of the annual business plans to understand the key requirements and business issues. Translate the key business issues into human resource strategies and action plans to support the business growth plans.
  • Collaborate with the functions Talent Acquisition teams to ensure talent is hired to meet the organization’s current and future requirements. This includes development of job profiles, broad talent acquisition strategies, assessment of talent, interviewing criteria, the proper on-boarding of talent and the use of metrics to measure successfulness of the above items.
  • Lead the human resource assessment of functional leadership through the consistent assessment of talent, identification of key strengths and gaps in the organization and the development of action plans to address the organization’s needs. Drive development and next step action plans of key high potential employees.
  • Using HR expertise and knowledge of the organization, lead the process for all annual HR cycle activities including talent plan, performance appraisal and individual development planning, salary and incentive planning.
  • Advise on compensation practices, rewards, and recognition to help emphasize pay for performance.
  • Coach and develop managers' skills around employee relations, performance management, talent development, and other key areas.
  • Assess key training and development needs to deliver general as well as function-specific training contributing to the development of our people.
  • Interprets and represents the unique needs of team back to the centers of expertise (Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Development, etc.). Work closely with the HR teams and COEs on compensation, benefits, and talent management issues and programs that impact division employees.
  • Serve as a resource to both managers and associates by providing policy and procedure interpretation.
  • Drive the development of new policies and procedures as necessary to support the business.
  • Mitigate organizational risk by ensuring compliance with all employment laws.

What you will need:

  • Degree level study in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent
  • 5- 8 years of people management experience and a total of 15 years of HR experience atleast, with experience in similar shared services environment
  • Demonstrated experience of Human Resources, including strategic mindset
  • Strong consultation, influencing and change management skills
  • Must possess ability to work in a fast-paced environment with concurrent and changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a matrixed environment
  • Superior communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Fluent in English
