Introduction to role:

Join our Commercial IT – SSD Software Engineering Platform Success Team as an Associate Director for Platform AIOps and Automation Engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for the evaluation and delivery of automation and AIOps initiatives across Patient Access, Marketing Technology and Omnichannel Platforms. You will ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of our systems and applications, build effective relationships with Commercial IT & Business functions across Regions and Markets, and contribute to the success of delivering value to Commercial IT customers by focusing on a positive user experience, troubleshooting issues, and implementing data engineering and operations best practices.

Accountabilities:

As an Associate Director, you will be accountable for evaluating enhancement and automation opportunities per user story requirements aligned with existing IT platforms and IT products. You will create and deliver business cases for automation investment in terms of benefit, cost and risk. You will perform trade-off analyses enabling a business-aligned prioritized decisions on IT platform/IT product changes. You will also be responsible for technical and leader coaching and mentoring reports (i.e. CI engineers, product engineers, etc.) and encourage a culture of continuous learning, improvement, and innovation within the team.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Degree level education in computer science information technology, or a related field
• Proven experience in product management or as a solutions architect in the IT operations space
• Understanding of cloud-based solutions, log and metric analytics, and basic knowledge of AI/ML technologies in IT operations
• Ability to make informed decisions balancing technical feasibility and potential
• Passion for exploring new technologies and finding creative solutions to complex problems
• Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language
• Working knowledge of Agile Software Development techniques and Methodologies
• Proficient in all aspects of Agile and SaFE (can lead, teach, and run)

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• Customer engagement experience
• Proven experience of managing relationships with 3rd party suppliers
• Comfortable with ambiguity, demonstrating flexibility and resilience
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of the external market
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
