Position Overview

We are looking for a talented DevOps Engineer with a focus on Continuous integration and delivery, Database administration and ETL.

We are open to hiring this role in Lisbon, Portugal, or Berlin, Germany.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will design, deploy, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, plan and implement database management strategies, and handle ETL processes to ensure efficient data management. You will develop scripts and CLI tools in Golang, Python, and Bash for automation and process optimization, maintain optimal observability on systems and applications, and perform regular maintenance to verify the integrity and availability of all database resources and CI/CD pipelines. Additionally, you will rollout software patches and upgrades, investigate issues to their root cause, and set high standards for documentation of designs and systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• Plan and implement database management strategies for MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc
• Handle ETL processes and ensure efficient data management.
• Develop scripts and CLI tools in Golang, Python, and Bash for automation and process optimization.
• Maintain optimal observability on the systems and applications' availability and performance (logs, metrics, alerts).
• Perform regular maintenance and house-keeping, verifying the integrity and availability of all database resources, systems, and processes.
• Perform regular system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all CI/CD pipelines.
• Rollout software patches and upgrades, ensuring the infrastructure is kept secure and compliant with best practices.
• Investigate issues to their root cause and resolution.
• Set high standards for documentation of designs and systems.

Requirements

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
• Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.
• Strong database management skills, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.
• Experience with ETL processes and data management.
• Proficient in programming with Golang and Python.
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc.).
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus, Alertmanager, Thanos, Loki, and Grafana.
• Strong GitOps skills for managing infrastructure and applications.
