Software Engineer

Position Summary...

Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness. Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy. Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

About Team:

Enterprise Business Services is invested in building a compact, robust organization that includes service operations and technology solutions for Finance, People, Associate Digital Experience in Walmart. One of the key tools to manage the worked hours of associates in the Walmart stores/DC is Infor’s Workbrain. The team takes care of creating customizations in and around the tool to make sure it caters to the scale in which Walmart operates.

What you'll do:

You will be part of a global engineering team that caters to time & attendance needs for all associates across the globe at Walmart. The team leverages/implements standard modules as well as builds custom developments that integrate with several systems meant for tracking time & attendance. The solutions developed could potentially enable millions of users achieve efficiency in their day to day processes and thus enable massive cost savings for Walmart.

Your Responsibility shall include:

Propose & implement customized solutions in Workbrain, combined with the latest tech stack.

• Mentor the team and review their deliverables to be in alignment with the best practices for the global best practices of Workbrain customization's.

• Work closely with the Architects and follow established practices for the delivery of solutions meeting QCD (Quality, Cost & Delivery).

• Interact closely with Business owners and technical teams both within India and across the globe to collect the requirements and validate the solutioning.

• Measure and improve Project/program performance, Operational performance and Portfolio performance using metrics/KPI’s.

• Recommend improvements and drive alignment across teams

What you'll bring:

• 10+ years of experience in development of highly - scalable applications and platform development

• Strong knowledge in WorkForce Management domain, preferably in Workbrain or Kronos

• Should have functional expertise in all the Workbrain modules and good troubleshooting skills and analytical skills In for Workforce Management

• Proficiency in design, implement, Test and Deploy Workbrain modules

• Experience in developing custom Workbrain APIs and functionalities

• Hands on development skills to prototype technical solutions.

• Experience in deploying and using cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, GCP or AWS etc

• Demonstrated ownership for design of few modules/features in a product.

• Strong in Java and writing BDDs

• Experience in Restful/SOAP web services

• Experience in RDBMS and No-SQL database technologies

• Ability to adapt to change quickly, willingness to learn new and emerging technologies
