About this job

Within the IT Financial Management team sited under the Group CIO and managed by the IT Financial Manager, the IT Financial Analyst is responsible of managing IT invoices, helping with budgeting and quarterly closings, participating in the new tooling implementation, and functionally maintaining the tooling.

The main operational responsibility of managing IT invoices encompasses:

  • Processing the IT invoices received into the system.
  • Following-up on the approval lifecycle of the IT invoices.
  • Interacting with vendors to get appropriate information if missing.
  • Interacting with worldwide Account Payable teams within PartnerRe to process payments of IT invoices.
  • Interacting with the IT Procurement teams regarding IT contracts.
  • Interacting with the IT Managers regarding approval of IT invoices.
  • Supporting the IT Managers for all IT invoices related subjects.

The IT Financial Analyst helps the IT Financial Manager with budgeting and quarterly closings by:

  • Assisting in the collection of budget needs.
  • Assisting in the review of reforecasts done by IT managers.
  • Assisting in the calculation of quarterly accruals and prepayments.

The IT Financial Analyst will participate in the new tooling implementation project by:

  • Assisting in the writing of the functional requirements.
  • Testing the implemented features of the new tools.
  • Getting trained in using and administrating the tools.

The task to functionally maintain the tooling comprises:

  • Configuring the vendors’ information.
  • Managing the payment’s details.
  • Managing the frame of reference (organization, cost type/account, currencies, vendors etc.).

Strong intercultural communication and organizational qualities are keys to success for the role. The right candidate for this role must be reliable in handling operational recurrent tasks within set deadlines, while being open to technological and functional improvements.

Requirements

About you

Competencies and Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or higher (Higher university degree)
  • At least 2 years of experience in IT financial controlling and analysis roles and good knowledge in all aspects of controlling and accounting.
  • Experience with invoices and contracts for IT goods, services, and software.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with various departments, levels, and locations throughout the organization
  • Ability to leverage interpersonal skills to establish rapport and develop relationships
  • Skilled with IT Invoicing, Controlling and Procurement tools
  • Strong PC based skills; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Exceptionally well organized with an aptitude for data management
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail and a meticulous attitude
  • Mandatory fluent written and spoken English

Nice to have qualifications:

  • Understanding of IT specific drivers from a finance perspective.
  • Experience in reporting using PowerBI
  • Ability to demonstrate strong time management and prioritization skills within a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to anticipate the needs of stakeholders, with a bias towards action.
  • Ability to create and maintain configuration, operational and control documents.
  • Possess a Growth Mindset, keen to learning and exploring.
