Product Manager - Spreadsheets

Summary

We're hiring a Product Manager for our Spreadsheets & Embedded Tables product area! Spreadsheets and embedded tables are foundational components of the Workiva platform. The product decisions in this space impact every single customer in a very material way.

A Product Manager at Workiva is someone who has the experience to be the primary product owner for one or more product teams. Product Managers will be responsible for identifying the customer outcomes that their product team(s) work to achieve and ensuring that the products delivered meet the needs of Workiva customers. Product Managers are expected to demonstrate competencies in the full product lifecycle from discovery to delivery, including: customer discovery, leadership of the product team, product evangelism, management of their product(s), including prioritization of work and writing release notes for product releases, and management of relationships with key product stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

• Gathers and considers feedback from existing customers to ensure new enhancements, features, and solutions address their needs
• Meets with customers to validate features and review product iterations during development to ensure alignment with customer needs
• Collaborates with design to ensure features are usable and intuitive
• Works closely with lead engineers to ensure solution feasibility
• Acquires deep expertise in their product, customers, and related domains
• Documents key use cases and personas to help the team understand problems
• Creates story maps, roadmaps, and other artifacts to provide context and direction to product teams and stakeholders
• Identifies and resolves potential problems within product areas, processes, or teams
• Manages relationships with the product team, product management, product marketing, internal stakeholders, and customers

What You'll Need
Minimum qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field; an advanced degree may be considered in lieu of professional experience
• 4 years of related experience in a product management role in software or related area

Preferred qualifications

• MBA preferred
• Demonstrated competency in product discovery practices
• Experience in enterprise software
• Experience delivering software in an agile development environment
• The ability to influence and inspire across multiple teams and job functions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and prioritization skills

Travel Requirements and Working Conditions

• Willingness to travel up to 20% for team and corporate meetings, fostering relationships and representing company interests
• Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, as we embrace flexible work arrangements

How You’ll Be Rewarded

✅ Salary range in the US: $102,000.00 - $173,000.00

✅ A discretionary bonus typically paid annually

✅ Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire

✅ 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits package

The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and other relevant factors.
