Are you someone who can:

• Assess own performance through seeking timely and clear feedback and request training where appropriate.
• Develop, encourage and nurture collaborative relationships within FNB and/or across the FRG Focus on providing optimal services and improving service delivery processes to meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Mentor and coach members within the team as well as other teams within the Group.
• Oversee and manage the end-to-end development of analytically-influenced solutions which range from simple analysis to complex solutions, including working with other stakeholders such as IT to ensure the implementation of these solutions as well as monitoring of the business value created by them.
• Be accountable for the development, implementation and enhancement of data driven strategies to address business needs: improving customer financial wellness by developing and implementing advanced statistical models and data analysis to optimise processes, inform strategic decisions, meet current and future business requirements, reduce risk, and generate profits & lifetime value.
• Ensure compliance to legislative and audit requirements and adherence to relevant processes.
• Play a hands-on role in day-to-day activities and maintain relationships with business units: involvement in data preparation, support, analysis, interpretation, and implementation for projects, as well as ad hoc requests.

You will be an ideal candidate if you:

• 6+ years relevant experience in a data/analytics related role with proven ability to develop and implement modelling solutions
• Have a BSc in mathematics, statistics, actuarial or similar
• Strong programming skills
• Ability to present and communicate technical findings to non-technical audience
• Strong knowledge of SAS, Python, and/or SQL
• Strong analytical and statistical knowledge
• Specialist and/or team leader & management skills
• Attention to detail
• Takes initiative, Self-starter
• Good communication
• Strong understanding of internal systems
• Well versed with the data architecture of the group

• Reporting on Sustainability portfolio
• Opportunity sizing and identifying key areas of focus
• Maintaining Alternative Energy data model
• Contextual offer development
• Geo-tagging and asset tagging, loan attribution
• Credit risk & credit data enhancements
• Stakeholder management (Internal & External)
• Collaborating across segments and BU’s
