Job Description
McKesson is in the business of better health, and we touch the lives of patients in virtually every aspect of healthcare. McKesson Medical-Surgical provides medical-surgical supplies and equipment to physicians' offices, home care agencies, long-term care facilities and surgery centers.
Designs and develops IT architecture (integrated process, applications, data, and technology) solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. Performs technical planning, architecture development, and modification of specifications. Develops specifications for new products/services, applications, and service offerings. Sr Connectivity IT Architect is responsible for design and development of IT architecture supporting the CIMS integrations and McK Direct integration, assuring key business processes function within defined SLAs. Supporting the Connectivity Team in the delivery of agreed upon work products within the timeframes and quality characteristics specified.
The role will require direct interaction with McKesson customers, team members, Professional Services team members, business partners, and other IT teams. Candidates are required to interact with a variety of customer roles and their (third party) system support teams to evaluate business processes and design and implement EDI/Connectivity solutions to meet the customer’s needs.

Minimum Requirements
6+ years of EDI or McKesson Direct experience

Critical Skills

  • Experience with HL7, XML and cXML file formats
  • Experience with JD Edwards or Enterprise One
  • Strong verbal and written communication Skills
  • Experience interacting with customers on various levels including technical, business and management.
  • Ability to tailor communications to the intended audience.
  • Excellent customer communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Design and detail process flow diagrams and data dictionaries
  • Strong experience to drive project coordination and completion.
  • Complex problem solving, document requirement gathering.
  • 8+ years of experience in EDI trading partner management
  • Strong experience to drive project coordination and completion
  • In depth understanding of EDI X12 transaction sets used in a distribution business, their function, structure and application (i.e. 850, 855, 832, 810, 844, 849, 867 and 856).

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Performance tools like Runtime Analysis, Code Inspector, SQL Trace, System Log
  • Business knowledge around SAP business modules such as Logistics, Financials, Vistex, to effectively develop and enhance applications and also support daily business processes.
  • Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
  • A bachelor’s in computer science and technology would form the fundamentals or programming methods, hence would be most suitable form of education for such a role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing & Configuring interfaces with external systems.
  • Interface with Customer and Sales along with Product Development and Professional Services teams.
  • Interface with the McKesson Customer Experience Operations organization and teams responsible for supporting
  • Provide technical development support for Business Analysts
  • Provide structure and design for Professional Services team (MSP)
  • Designing & Configuring Maps or interfaces with external systems
  • Onboarding of Complex initiatives for Customer, Vendor, Supplier, Financial requirements.
  • Management Business to Business transaction and mapping suite. Maintain Trading Partner Agreements
  • Drive AS2 and other certification requirements

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$116,600 - $194,400
