Linux Senior Engineer

Position Summary:

Senior Linux Engineer with AWS and Azure Expertise

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Linux Engineer with a strong background in cloud technologies, specifically AWS and Azure and OCI. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6-7 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and deploying servers on VMware, AWS, and Azure platforms. .

Key Responsibilities:

•Deploy and configure Linux servers across VMware and multiple cloud providers, including AWS, Azure and OCI.

•Review the scope of work with customer and Project management team to ensure proper implementation of requested project line items ensure timelines are met.

•Implement automation tools and scripts for provisioning and scaling resources like Cloud Formation, Puppet, Azure Devops, Terraform.

•Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth server deployment with managed tools.

•Set up Azure and AWS and OCI monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks and system anomalies.

•Backup and Disaster Recovery:

•Deployment of backup and disaster recovery strategies for Linux-based systems on VMware, AWS, Azure and OCI.

•Configure backup on Azure, AWS and OCI

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

•Create and update technical documentation, including system architecture, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.

•Share knowledge and best practices with team members, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

•Minimum of 6-7 years of hands-on experience as a Linux Engineer, with a strong focus on cloud technologies.

•Proficiency in Linux operating systems (e.g., RedHat, Oracle Linux, Debian, Ubuntu etc.) and related technologies.

•Knowledge of cloud platforms, specifically AWS and Azure, with a good track record of implementing and managing cloud based Infrastructure.

•Sound knowledge of VMware vSphere and deployments and management of servers

•Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python) for automation and configuration management.

•Good understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and best practices.

•Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

•Effective communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal.

•Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect and/or Microsoft Azure certifications are a plus.

•Windows OS Knowledge is an asset.
