About the Role

The Data Centre Site Facility Manager is responsible for understanding the data centre infrastructure and how they operate. This role will require hands on management of the maintenance programs and developing and running an effective change management process. The Data Centre Facility Manager will ensure the supporting infrastructure is managed and maintained to a high standard, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in one of the fields of Electrical, Mechanical, BMS controls.
  • Ability to manage complex issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. The ability to convey technical information and escalations across various levels.

What you’ll do

  • Overseeing the management of local data centre systems and environments including; mechanical electrical, fire, security, building and grounds, monitoring systems and communication cabling infrastructure.
  • Ensuring zero downtime at any site.
  • Managing the local Data Centre supporting infrastructure to deliver high performance and availability that drive asset value growth.
  • Managing the risk of any change within the data centre by ensuring that a comprehensive MOP/task analysis is written which includes all identified risks and is peer reviewed by the Data Centre Facility Managers group.
  • Acting as a point of escalation for local facilities incidents.
  • Collaborate with Operations Enablement and Facilities Management to ensure that there is sufficient capacity within the local facility.
  • Collaborating with the Data Centres Audit/Compliance teams to deliver the compliance program, internal data centre audits and customer audits.
  • Ensuring the BAU maintenance is scheduled and undertaken.
  • Providing support to the 24x7 Data Centres Engineer team and keeping them informed of any risks/changes at the local data centre that may manifest as BMS alarms or questions from customers on current risks or resiliency at the data centre.
  • Being rostered on a 24x7 shift as requested
  • Run and keep updated a risk register for the local data centre facility Ensure the data centre ACMS system is kept up to date Ensuring the Data Centre facilities and environments are operating to their full potential by being innovative and keeping up with industry trends and technology.
  • Assisting in the running of local data centre facilities projects.
  • Adhering to security policies and procedures including incident reporting and attending information security management trainings as required
