Strategic Action Officer

The Opportunity:

As a Strategic Action Officer, you know the complexities of supporting a project from concept to completion. Many programs require a significant investment of limited resources, and it’s imperative to keep the project on a productive path. That’s why we need you, an experienced project management specialist who can help ensure success through careful analysis and effective communication.

On our team, you’ll implement and maintain organizational programs in support of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). You’ll work with key stakeholders to provide comprehensive and seamless technical and administrative support. You'll help with tactical planning using resources like Microsoft 365 and regular interactions with Office Leadership, SMEs, and fellow team members.

You Have:

  • Experience conducting in-depth analyses of complex scientific, technological, and programmatic issues in conjunction with internal teams to inform strategic decision-making and provide recommendations to office leadership
  • Experience developing strategic communications plans
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suites, including PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Planner
  • Ability to collaborate with technical staff to develop and refine project strategies, milestones, and success metrics
  • Ability to work with external partners to develop and nurture strategic partnerships
  • Ability to multi-task and reprioritize continuously in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to track multiple action items to completion and oversee preparation of materials for submission to internal and external entities
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience working on Research and Development (R&D) or Science and Technology (S&T) portfolios
  • Knowledge of trends, opportunities, and challenges in the biological and technological domains to inform strategic decision-making
  • Ability to coordinate with internal team members to prepare high-level strategic documents, such as annual reports, strategic plans, and project summaries, for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to organize internal events for office leadership initiatives
  • Ability to coordinate with teams to ensure client priorities are met
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Master's degree in a biological, chemical, or related field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
