Performance Engineering Integrator

The Opportunity:

Performance engineering to make a system more resilient, reliable, consistent, and efficient frees up time and resources to focus in on building capabilities. Whether you come from a background in network engineering, systems administration, or software development - if you have a passion for solutioning and system optimization, we need you! As a performance engineer and an integrator on our team, you will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure performance readiness of integrated systems before large scale consumer facing events. You’ll understand and track infrastructure and architectural advancements to determine the performance implications and gains. You will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of performance monitoring dashboards, used to define key performance indicators and measure the behavior of critical business processes. Specifically, you will be responsible for leading the design, development and implementation of several New Relic dashboards using New Relic Query Language (NRQL), as well as developing Amazon Web Services (AWS) CloudWatch dashboards. In conjunction, you’ll review performance test executions and document key findings to understand application load handling and responsiveness. You’ll also identify network, compute, and storage bottlenecks, and work across teams to mitigate them.

You Have:

  • Experience developing, updating, and using monitoring dashboards within New Relic and AWS CloudWatch
  • Experience coordinating technical and performance testing events to include troubleshooting support for issues observed
  • Experience triaging issues for performance testing to identify issues and develop solutions to improve systems
  • Experience using AWS CloudWatch, New Relic, Dynatrace, and Splunk
  • Experience using Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence
  • Ability to work with different teams and across organizations to present and communicate analytical findings on an independent basis
  • Ability to provide technical and functional support as part of a client service team
  • Ability to perform as a technical expert, addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility, healthcare semantics, informatics, and multiple platforms
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience supporting consumer facing e-Commerce system
  • Experience supporting Medicaid and Medicare Services
  • Experience directly supporting a face of the Healthcare Insurance Marketplace
  • Experience in developing capacity planning projections
  • Ability to identify integration touchpoints between systems and trace downstream and upstream impacts
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
