Submarine Systems Cybersecurity Engineer

Key Role:

Perform as a cybersecurity analyst to help the client deliver secure submarine platform information systems. Assist with managing client’s cybersecurity requirements and vulnerabilities, gathering system information required for Risk Management Framework (RMF) Interim Authority to Test (IATT) and Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages, and implementing cybersecurity verification tests for the system. Conduct cybersecurity assessments, security design engineering, and threat monitoring of non-IT systems, including industrial control systems (ICS), physical systems, or embedded systems. Apply specific functional knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with military platform information system administration, computer network security, or risk management framework
  • Knowledge of U.S. Navy’s cybersecurity test and evaluation practices
  • Ability to perform tasks independently with minimal supervision
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or Systems Engineering
  • DoD 8570.01M IAT Level 2 Certification, including Security+ or CySA+

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with the operation or development of military control systems
  • Experience working in a DoD or Military environment
  • Experience working with University Affiliated Research Centers
  • Ability to communicate and present project status to program managers
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,300.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
