About you and this role

We are looking for you, an ambitious chemical or mechanical engineer student, to support our Polly glycol plant by doing an internship project in “Filter technical and ergonomics’ improvements” for our location in Tarragona, Spain.

Project description:

FL-131 filter FL-131 is the baby-filter of FL-130 of Train I that was installed in 2020, replacing the old FL-130-A/B baby-filters. FL-131 was discontinued in 2022/23 due to operating problems that generated turbidity in the final product.

In addition, ergonomic problems made daily operation difficult when changing filter meshes. Need to work with different disciplines (operations, maintenance, supplier, engineering...) to define improvements and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Always work safely.
• Keep EHS (environmental health and safety) as priority.
• Define technical improvements for the filter to avoid quality issues in final product.
• Define technical improvements in term of ergonomics to make the operations of this filter doable for operations.

Qualifications

• You are currently studying for a bachelor/master’s degree or equivalent in chemical engineer or mechanical engineer.
• You have a good working knowledge of English and Spanish
• Good communication skills as the person doing this project will be working with a multidisciplinary group.
