The Role:

The HR Advisor/Generalist will take responsibility for a wide remit of stakeholders and HR activities, and partnering with the UK HR Business Partner team to they will:

  • Be a crucial source of advice and counsel to both employees and managers across the business.
  • Ensuring high quality and consistent people management by providing coaching, and advice to managers, supporting by the implementation of effective HR policies and processes
  • Support the HR Business Partners (HRBPs) with ER cases, employee engagement, reporting and the alignment of business strategies with HR policies and projects.
  • Embedding our ‘Be Yourself at Work’ culture and promoting inclusion in all that we do

Key Responsibilities

The HR Advisor/Generalist will have ownership of several stakeholder groups within the business. The responsibilities of the HR advisor for these stakeholder groups will include:

  • Managing HR policy and process queries from all levels of the business and assisting with the introduction of new or revised HR policies.
  • Coaching and guiding managers in line with the company policies and procedures and the current legislation and best practice.
  • Managing employee relationships; advising on rights & entitlements and supporting them with any related queries or processes in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Owning key HR processes such as maternity, paternity, shared parental leave, flexible working processes and other leave of absence processes.
  • Managing absence management, reasonable adjustment plans and wellbeing check points.
  • Supporting the HRBPs with any capability investigations, including grievances and disciplinaries.
  • Supporting the HRBPs with the co-ordination of the performance management process for all employees including objective setting, performance appraisal and feedback, probation periods, and performance improvement programmes.
  • Reporting and analysis of key HR metrics and trends such as attrition, working with the HRBPs to report back to the business and work on related projects.
  • Supporting global mobility cases and immigration enquiries.
  • Effective liaison with payroll with the other HRBPs.
  • Support HR related audits and compliance processes.

Experience

Strong generalist HR experience, particularly in areas highlighted under Key Responsibilities

Essential

  • Previous demonstrable success in HR Advisor/Generalist role
  • Solid knowledge of HR policies and processes
  • Ability to multi-task with excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise competing demands whilst maintaining accuracy and focus.
  • Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Advanced Excel skills and analytical skills
  • HR systems and reporting
  • Good listening and coaching skills
  • Collaborative and inclusive working style
  • Strong communication both verbal and written and excellent relationship building capabilities across all levels of a business.
  • Client-focused, proactive with a strong mind-set for continuous improvement, drawing on external trends, insight and best practice where appropriate.
  • Able to deal with sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner.
