Our team of highly experienced professionals assists financial executives with their most complex business needs, including Accounting Advisory, Digital Solutions, Financial Operations, IPO, M&A, and Managed Services.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the payroll department within our corporate team to help process payroll for 600+ employees across the country as well as review current processes and recommend improvements.

Duties and responsibilities include:

· Maintain day-to-day payroll transactions

· Update the internal payroll file for all new hires and terminations. Ensure new hires are approved and accurate pay rate is reflected

· Calculate payroll and exception items such as bonuses, garnishments, terminations, tax adjustments, expense reimbursements, etc.

· Ensure all payroll changes are made in the Paychex system including new hires, terminations, deductions and withholdings, direct deposit information, benefits elections, etc.

· Prepare short-term disability and paid disability leave calculations

· Prepare final pay calculations and ensure final payments are made in accordance with the state laws in which our employees reside

· Ensure employees are classified and mapped correctly within the various systems (Paychex, NetSuite, OpenAir)

· Prepare, analyze and review payroll reports

· Reconcile internal payroll file with Paychex prior to submitting for final approval

· Assist with the preparation of the payroll journal entries

· Assisting with Ad-hoc payroll related projects, as needed

Qualified candidates will have:

· Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to work effectively within a team environment

· Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and achieve effective time management

· Strong data entry skills

· Excellent organizational skills

· Detail driven mindset

· Demonstrated ability to understand and pick up on new concepts quickly

· Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems by introducing practical solutions

Software skills:

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) required

· Paychex experience preferred but not required

Education and Experience:

· Previous experience in a payroll position preferred but not required

· Bachelor's degree in a related field, accounting preferred
