Data Coordinator

The CDC Foundation’s Data Coordinator provides support to the Advancement team, specific to the use of data and technology, to achieve fundraising and organizational goals. The Data Coordinator will utilize Salesforce to perform tasks associated with data integrity and constituent maintenance, campaign tracking and data quality control.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Advancement Operations, the Data Coordinator provides data/information management, data analysis, system auditing and compliance, formulation and implementation of data policies, consulting, procedures development, user documentation and data load management. This position has an end date of June 30, 2026 and can be fully remote or hybrid reporting to the Atlanta, GA headquarters office.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assistance with data reporting and segmentation as well as review with appropriate team members.
  • Responsible for organizing and loading constituent and engagement data into our constituent relationship management (CRM) system.
  • Perform systematic ongoing data quality assessments and cleaning projects to ensure data quality.
  • Assist with Advancement department process documentation and communicate data management policy and procedure changes to end users.
  • Perform various data tasks including, but not limited to, pulling reports, loading data into the CRM, data organization, data segmentation, data cleansing and management.
  • Become familiar with and maintain a thorough working knowledge of the Foundation’s and CDC’s programs and activities.
  • Participate in staff activities, projects and assignments and assume other duties as assigned.
  • Must adhere to the Code of Ethical Principles of the Association of Fund Raising Professionals (AFP). Must be conversant in, and stay current with, Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) standards, IRS regulations and financial standards as it pertains to charitable giving.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, as well as be a professional with a minimum of three years non-profit experience with a focus on data integrity and maintenance, data enrichment, fund-raising accounting, gift processing and program tracking using a constituent relationship management system, preferably Salesforce NPSP.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, advanced skills in Excel, including macros and pivot tables.
  • Strong management, planning and project management skills related to setting and monitoring goals, developing plans and timelines and measuring success.
  • Results-oriented, team player, collaborative and self-motivated. Able to work with multiple departments to propel organizational mission forward through innovation and initiative.
  • Natural curiosity with strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility with a proven ability to handle changing business needs, multiple priorities and deadlines with attention to detail. Accountability for meeting goals, objectives and deadlines with a proactive attitude and approach to work.
  • Exceptional inter-personal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train and coach staff on data management best practices.
  • Discretion in handling confidential information relating to the giving history and backgrounds of donors/prospects
