What you'll do
As a Production Manager Specialist, you’ll be monitoring the centre of excellence’s performance and contributing to technology and people focused initiatives across the function. You’ll be assisting with the team’s activities to make sure the platform integrity is maintained in line with roadmap releases, while also managing demand and change requests.
As well as this, you’ll be delivering robust production management, infrastructure and application support across the domain, and working closing with other teams to understand the upcoming changes and collaborating with them to prevent potential issues from occurring.
You’ll also be:
- Managing inbound work requests and prioritising work across the domain while identifying scheduling problems or other issues
- Identifying and capturing risks and production environment issues and engaging and coordinating with other team leads across the domain to identify and design solutions to problems
- Making sure our applications and infrastructure are fully compliant with legal and security standards
- Ensuring resilient and robust applications and infrastructure recovery plans for the bank’s system architecture
- Delivering and managing our production deployments and making sure they meet the appropriate quality standards
The skills you'll need
We’ll expect you to have knowledge of platforms, technology, products, and domains. You’ll need experience of relevant industry standard toolsets and processes to drive up customer service in an IT environment, as well as knowledge of development methodology and operational principles.
Additionally, you’ll need:
- The ability to collaborate with and manage stakeholders
- Experience of working in production support environment using technologies like Java, microservices, unix and sql
- The ability to communicate complex technical concepts to your peers and management
