The Talent Business Insights Manager is an integral leader within the Talent Analytics team, focused on captivating business stakeholders by interpreting, explaining, and delivering data in a way that is meaningful and actionable. This role will require expertise in not only data analysis, but also using creativity to tell a story outside of spreadsheets and other data-heavy presentations. This person needs to have strong intellectual curiosity and a pursuit of learning, acute attention to detail, and demonstrate advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills. This person will lead a team of analysts and work cross-functionally with other internal teams to understand their unmet needs.

Essential Duties:

Management/Strategic:

  • Recruit, train and lead a team of analyst-level employees, conducting analysis of workforce metrics across the enterprise that will improve workforce decision making and guide strategic decisions
  • Lead and execute analytics projects from beginning to end using hypothesis forming, data collection, analysis, and presentation. Project may run simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Develop a strong, effective, diverse team that applies skills and perspectives to business and firm goals, while effectively managing ambiguity.

Data Analytics:

  • Use advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide real-time decision making and drive growth.
  • Execute deep-dive analysis to interpret and translate business needs into measurable and actionable insights
  • Integrate data into visualization tools, may include database connections, data extract connections, integration of python scripts, static and/or live connections

Presentation/Data Visualization:

  • Design, build, manage, and share data insights via captivating visualizations and persuasive storytelling; improve existing customer-facing data visualizations and reports.
  • Oversee presentation deliverables to effectively communicate results and business impacts of insights to stakeholders

Communication/Storytelling:

  • Provide recommendations on ways to implement and enhance new and existing processes
  • Serve in a consultative role to enable Talent to solve problems and make data driven decisions
  • Establish and build a close partnership within the Talent Organization teams to understand needs and develop solutions to fit them, in an effort to achieve enterprise objectives
  • Offer thought leadership on and execute the vision for growth and evolution of advanced analytical techniques within the firm.
  • Develop training materials for educating our internal teams and customer on the use of developed solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Data Science or similar from an accredited college/university (Required)
  • Master’s degree (Preferred)
  • Technology certifications or designations (Preferred)

TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS

Required:

  • Business mindset with strong problem-solving and analytical / critical thinking skills
  • Feel a strong sense of personal accountability for high quality, value-driven work that supports business outcomes; places the user in the center of decision making; and prioritizes speed, agility, and innovation in work.
  • Self-starter with ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team
  • Ability to analyze data for compliance to data standards and policy specifications
  • Sound analytical and quantitative problem-solving ability and judgment
  • Excellent customer service skills with ability to manage stakeholder expectations and interact with team members across all levels of the organization
  • Detail oriented with exceptional organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and ever-changing environment

Preferred:

  • Statistical modeling and programming experience
  • Exposure to Workday is a nice to have

EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • At least 3 years of experience in an Analytics / Insights / Storytelling role
  • At least 5 years of experience leading data science, engineering, or advanced analytics initiatives

Preferred:

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools, such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Applied data science in a business setting
  • Talent or Human Resources experience

  • Strong communication skills with experience synthesizing findings into actionable insights and impactful presentations
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.
  • Ability to present and discuss information in a way that persuades, educates, and enhances understanding at all levels.
  • Ability to engage in conversation with senior leaders to derive data need with little guidance.
  • Embody continuous learning, curiosity, and leadership in ambiguity. Ability to fluidly share findings and new insights with peers through coaching and mentoring.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to bridge the gap between business strategy and data interpretation.

Compensation Range: $107,900 - $184,800

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
