Reporting to the Supervisor, Occupational Health and Safety, and working in close collaboration with managers, Occupational Health & Safety Advisor is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and controlling activities relating to the prevention of work-related accidents and illnesses for the sites assigned to him/her.
- Acts as a change agent for the development of an OHS culture among all managers/employees for all assigned sites.
- Advises and supports managers in their various OHS matters.
- Collaborates in the development and implementation of various OHS programs, policies, procedures and tools.
- Carries out analyses of occupational hazards and proposes preventive measures.
- Conducts workplace accident investigations and analyses in conjunction with managers, and ensures that the necessary corrective and preventive measures are applied.
Requirements
- College diploma or university certificate in OHS.
- Minumum 4 years of experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Bilingualism required.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between company sites.
