Filter Engineer

Role Summary

Designs, develops and implements technical projects for the fabrication, modification and evaluation of new or existing hardware systems or components. Projects may involve exploration of products and/or process problems, definition and selection of new concepts and approaches, origination or modification of material, component and process specifications and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Owner of RU filter designs.
• Work with 3rd party filter suppliers on filter development.
• Support feasibility study and filter specification definition.
• Design verification test on filter unit.
• Lead troubleshooting on filter related issues.
• Support radio production.

Job Requirements

• Experience in filter design, both mechanical topology and electrical stimulation.
• Excellent understanding of filter related technology, including metal cavity filter, CWG, SMF, etc.
• Knowledge of radio design, understand filter design difference between classic radio and AAS.
• Experience in SMT process.
• Understand spurious emission and out-of-band blocking.
• Familiar with co-location requirements of various locations.
• Experience with design tools, e.g. HFSS.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to quickly grasp and adapt to new technologies and concepts.
• BS Degree
• At least 5+ years’ experience.
• Good spoken English skill
