Northwestern Medicine is seeking an ambitious youth-focused clinician with demonstrated history of providing evidence-based treatment to youth (ages 5+) and caregivers. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, demonstrate flexibility, and identify as a self-starter.
Schedule details:
Full Time, 40 hours/week
Two evenings/week until 8pm (Monday, Tuesday, and/or Wednesday)
Weekly consultation, monthly individual supervision and set time for documentation included in the schedule
The Case Therapist II SL reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Department: Outpatient Therapy
Responsibilities include:
- Delivers evidence-based treatment interventions to youth and their caregivers
- Completes clinical interviewing in order to assess treatment needs and/or provide linkage to most appropriate care levels
- Develops treatment plans to assist clients with developing goals and coping skills to aid in symptom management
- Assists with community resources and linkage when necessary
- Engages in clinical consultation within the organization as well as with outside providers to make sure client is linked with appropriate services.
- Completes clinical documentation within state and organizational guidelines and time requirements
- Provides therapeutic crisis intervention and safety planning services as needed
- Participates in weekly clinical consultation
- Potential for shadowing opportunities with new staff and/or supervision of master’s level interns
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Responsibilities include:
- Presentations for partnering businesses, such as: conflict management, stress, annual education requirements
- Short term, solution focused targeted care for the lifespan, including youth, adults, couples and families
- Critical Incident Stress Debriefings (CISD)
- Company orientations for employees who are new to the EAP
Requirements
Required:
- Experience and training in assessment, individual, family, and group counseling
- Master's Degree with LSW, LCSW, LPC, or LCPC required, or eligible for licensure
- Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field
Preferred:
- 3-5 years in intensive treatment setting and /or mental health setting.
