(the opportunity} Introducing Blue Raven AI

Blue Raven AI is a division within Hummingbird Bioscience with the mandate to build a foundational architecture for broad-based logical reasoning in AI (applicable beyond biotherapeutics to applications in mathematics, physics, chemistry, software/hardware, finance, etc.). Our goal is to build a system that can autonomously solve problems and discover novel knowledge that is logically reasoned and independently verifiable against a domain’s accepted rules and relationships. We have chosen theorem proving to demonstrate our proof-of-concept, which we believe is extensible to many other formally representable domains.

(the role} Data Science Intern

As a Data Science Intern, you will primarily be responsible for analyzing and preprocessing datasets for AI training, aiding in the development and refinement of machine learning models, and conducting experiments to evaluate model performance and propose improvements. You will need to have a strong understanding of data science concepts and methodologies, proficiency in data manipulation using tools like Pandas or NumPy, as well as basic knowledge of machine learning algorithms and frameworks. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of data science and contribute to cutting-edge AI projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze and preprocess datasets for AI training

• Assist in the development and refinement of machine learning models

• Conduct experiments to evaluate model performance and propose improvements

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong understanding of data science concepts and methodologies

• Proficiency in data manipulation using tools like Pandas or NumPy

• Basic knowledge of machine learning algorithms and frameworks

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++

• Understanding of software development principles and practices

• Familiarity with AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)

(the team} Working with us

We are a small diverse team taking an outside-in first-principles approach to this challenge. We are based in Singapore with team members from Asia as well as UK, Poland, Hungary, and Canada. We foster a more collaborative, productive, and sociable culture with on-site lunches, coffee, and snacks.

We are looking for passionate and motivated individuals committed to solving important, complex problems. Our interns are critical team members who contribute to important research, development and analysis. You will be expected to solve actual problems and lead the thinking, not just wait to be told what to do – there are no easy paths at Blue Raven AI. We are looking for interns who are self-driven and have demonstrated a proven track record of creating working projects outside the school curriculum, driven solely by curiosity and desire to learn, experiment and grow! You will absolutely have the opportunity to learn from experienced senior hands-on technical team members. Furthermore, you will be involved in design and brainstorming sessions where you will be expected to present your work, discuss its implications, and suggest ways forward directly with the CEO, CTO, VP each week!
