Founding Engineer

About the role

This is a hybrid in-person role in SF

We’re looking for an exceptional founding engineer to build the future of comics with the AI Comics Studio**.**

Your Responsibilities

• Building features for Studio using React and Typescript
• Leading product development by communicating with artists
• Proposing, designing, implementing, and owning projects while working directly with the founders
• Applying cutting-edge generative AI research and technology to build an incredible interface.
• This open-ended, deeply creative, and technical problem space combines art, AI, and engineering.

Requirements:

• Proficient with TypeScript, React, and full-stack development (working with APIs, databases, data pipelines, etc.)
• You move fast, have a strong bias for impact, and crave ownership
• You’ve built something from scratch, whether that’s a side project, your startup, or a team you led

Nice to Haves:

• Passionate about webtoons, comics, art, storytelling, or other visual art-forms
• Experience with Stable Diffusion / generative AI
• Experience with mobile development in Flutter
• Ex-founder, or previously worked at a high-growth company such as a startup
