As a Technical Service Support Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting colleagues worldwide in solving complex technical issues. You will work closely with colleagues from product development and product management to develop and implement structural solutions.

The Manure Team:
Lely offers highly innovative solutions for livestock farmers, such as the Astronaut milking robot, Vector automatic feeding system, and advanced manure robots. Our team is responsible for the solutions within the 'Manure' portfolio, which includes the manure robots. This means that we spend most of our time working on the Discovery 90 S/SW, the Discovery Collector, and the N-Capture of the Lely Sphere system.

Responsibilities:

  • Solve complex technical problems that technicians and regional clusters cannot resolve. Additionally, handle incidents based on your technical expertise.
  • Contribute to the development of knowledge and expertise at various Lely locations worldwide. Together with colleagues, you ensure the creation of effective training programs for our technicians and product specialists worldwide.
  • Within Lely, our team represents the voice of the farmer and technician for the further development of our products. We conduct data analysis and maintain contact with different regions where Lely operates.
  • Ensure that new solutions meet the high standards we set for a Lely product by establishing principles and conducting validations. This involves collaboration with colleagues from product development and product management, among others.

Requirements

You are ready for your first/second step in your career or are already a specialist who understands how our solutions work. You persistently seek the core of the problem and independently or collaboratively find the right answers. "Can't do" or "not possible" are not acceptable responses to you.

  • You have a completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field such as electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or software engineering.
  • In addition to your technical expertise, you enjoy exploring other technical areas.
  • You can easily connect with colleagues from different departments at the Lely Campus and within our international network.
  • You enjoy investigating technical questions and solving problems in collaboration with colleagues worldwide.
  • You are currently living in the Netherlands and have a valid work permit. Due to the international nature of this role, fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required. You should also be comfortable with occasional international business travel.
  • You are willing to participate in the on-call schedule for 24/7 hotline support.
