Principal Algorithms Engineer

SequLITE Genomics is seeking a full-time hands-on Principal Algorithms Engineer to join our product development team. In this role, you will develop new algorithms and associated metrics for image processing and basecalling for our next-generation DNA sequencing platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop new algorithms and associated metrics for image processing (random and/or patterned arrays) and basecalling for the next generation DNA sequencing platform. Tasks include image registration/alignment, feature extraction, intensity processing (background estimation and subtraction, extraction, normalization, cross-talk correction, phasing estimation, detection and correction, base assignment, scoring bases, and generating metrics).
• Develop relevant analyses, tools, and methods to characterize biochemical processes and instruments as they are developed and improved.
• Maintain and further develop the current generation of image processing and base calling software.
• Collaborate with team members to fully implement and productize the algorithms developed and prototyped for image processing and basecalling. Optimize and integrate these into the real-time pipeline/workflow.
