Monitoring Engineer

• Primarily responsible for monitoring IT Infrastructure (servers, network devices, backups, applications, databases etc.).
• Should acknowledge the alerts/alarms/incidents/requests within defined SLAs and perform the initial troubleshooting using available SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
• Hands-on working on enterprise monitoring tools, like Centreon. ServiceNav, Nagios, Solarwinds, AppDyanmics, Dynatrace, Zabbix, etc
• Monitor performance, capacity, and availability of the IT components on an ongoing basis.
• Collect and review performance reports for various systems, and report trends in Network, Server, Database & Application performance.
• Able to access and analyze fault, prioritize, respond, and escalate accordingly.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis on various service impacting events.
• Ensure established communications structure is followed during system impacting events.

Desirable Skills

• Strong written/verbal communication skills
• Willingness to work in 24x7 environment.
• Should have 1-2 years of experience in the similar role.
• Strong working knowledge on ITSM tools like ServiceNow, SMAX, etc.
