We are looking for a Safety Management System Promotion Advisor to join our team. The goal of an Safety Management System Promotion Advisor at Wisk is to ensure that safety training, safety metrics, lessons learned and other promotion material across safety and quality are published and effective. You will be part of the Safety Management System team that is building and implementing Wisk’s Safety Management System in accordance with regulation that will manage risk to improve safety performance and FAA acceptance of the SMS. (insert specific outcomes).

In this role you will develop safety promotion materials, coordinating with the internal communications and leadership teams. You will be responsible for writing policies for Safety management systems and publishing training on those policies. This position will be responsible for administering safety recognition programs and safety culture measurement and enhancement. You will be involved with introducing the Safety Management System and other duties as assigned.

This is a hybrid work opportunity. At Wisk, this means working onsite at our Hollister office 2 to 3 days per week with flexibility for the remainder of the days.

What you will do:

• As part of the Safety Management System organization, you will act as a SMS promotion and training advisor for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market
• You will take part in assuring SMS design, acceptance and implementation.
• You will support the safety messaging to align among the safety and quality teams.
• You will help support problem solving activities for risk management.
• You will help coordinate safety promotion, change management and feedback on safety issues.
• You will take part in risk management and change management.
• In some areas, you will be working closely with EHS, Quality and System Safety.
• You will plan and execute promotion and recognitions programs
• As SMS Promotion and Training Advisor, you will help define safety performance metrics and engagement techniques.

Requirements:

• 5-7 years in Aviation Safety Promotion. Bachelors degree. You have 8-10 years experience in the aviation industry.
• You have hands-on experience developing safety promotion planning.
• You have a deep and applied knowledge of change management.
• You are familiar with Safety Culture measurements and activities.
• This role will require 10% of travel

$129,742 - $152,637 a year

Pay Range the Company expects to pay:$129,742 - $152,637per year - The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.
