Role Summary

LSEG Security Operations is a central function employing people, process, and technology to continuously monitor and respond to cyber security incidents. Security Operations spans multiple domains including cyber threat intelligence, attack monitoring, data loss prevention, analytics & automation and cyber incident response.

The role is responsible for the management and monitoring of the Security Operations key metrics program, periodic incident reporting, stakeholder engagement, governance and audit requirements which have regulatory dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Management of the Security Operations Metrics Program
• Prepare and present reports, proposals, and updates to the board and other senior stakeholders
• Drive department initiatives and collaboration
• Support audit requirements and produce evidence reports
• Preparation of governance agendas and service review slides
• Assist in the continual improvement of the Security Operations strategy
• Facilitate tabletop and simulation exercises across Security operations functions
• Management of business continuity and operational resilience initiatives
• Responsible for the continual maintenance of the Cyber Incident Response Plan

Personal Skills and Experience

• Understanding of Security Operations Centre and Incident Management processes
• Ability in preparing and presenting information to senior leadership and board member
• Ability to “think on your feet” and provide accurate responses to questions from senior stakeholders
• Experience in metrics reporting and understanding of Key Risk and Key Performance Indicators
• Strong verbal and written communication and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, DORA) is advantageous
• Experience and knowledge of cyber security in global financial services or regulated environments is advantageous
