Our Tyvek® department in Luxembourg is currently looking for a motivated team player with strong analytical, organizational and communication skills. We offer the opportunity of joining a science company that has solid reputation for safety and technology leadership and which presents numerous opportunities for personal career development.

As a Quality Engineer Tyvek ® (m / f / d), you will be a member of the Tyvek® Manufacturing Technology (MT) Team and have the responsibly to preserve our Quality standards and to continuously enhance our Tyvek® products and production processes.
While enforcing compliance with production standards based on detailed data collections and analysis, you will communicate the impact to the team to drive for simplification of processes and continuous improvement.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Qualification & Implementation of new Lab instruments according to 6 sigma methodology.
  • Implementation and maintain Quality Standards/Test methods used in the lab.
  • Monitor and analyze instrument quality performance and trends using statistical and analytical tools.
  • Setting up new and managing existing product properties within the shopfloor systems and SAP as well as ensuring proper handling within these systems.
  • Work closely with Quality Control, Product Engineers & Process Engineers in case of any lab equipment/software issues. Definition of contingency plan and necessary actions to guarantee the conformity of the product.
  • Developing and implementing quality control systems and checks.
  • Define and implement the quality system for the product release.
  • Identifying areas for quality improvement and proposing solutions.
  • Initiating and leading quality improvement projects and teams.
  • Execute the change management processes to achieve improvements in the quality control lab.

Qualification requirements / Competences:

  • Technical degree (BS, MS) in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.

  • Self-Starter with great attention to detail but also an overall conceptual thinking.

  • Knowledge of Quality Management System.

  • Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.

  • Good interpersonal skills to allow productive collaborative relationships with inside customer; track record of fostering a respectful work environment.

  • Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification (may be obtained on the job)

  • Excellent communication & strong organizational skills for interfacing with team members

  • Demonstrate a keen eye for details to recognize and eliminate defects.

  • Ability to work in cross functional teams and coordinate with various department to implement quality control processes.

  • Good written and oral communication in English and German; Luxemburgish & French are considered as a plus.
