Global Cash, Surveillance & Messaging Operations (GCSMO) employs over 1,000 staff globally. The team delivers a multitude of payment services for clients of all business and infrastructure areas of Deutsche Bank in all common currencies.

EMEA Cash, Surveillance & Messaging Operations with Germany as its Euro-Clearing Hub processes up to 50 million payments at a total value of more than 500 bn EUR on a daily basis. This volume positions Deutsche Bank as #1 Euro-Clearer in the world. FX payments, cheque processing, electronic conversion and routing of payment instructions, liquidity management and the provision of commodities and foreign currencies complete the service portfolio of Cash Operations.

By collaborating with colleagues in the bank's global network, we develop integrated, sustainable solutions for our clients. A Center of Excellence for the globally active Corporate Bank is being created at the Campus Berlin location, with the purpose of bundling competencies and processes in a truly multicultural setup.

Your key responsibilities

  • Management of timely and accurate processing of investigation cases related to external/internal client requests which includes processing of payments.
  • Liaise closely with global & regional Cash Management Operations, Implementation, Sales, Product Management and service teams in a dynamic international environment
  • Manage staff on a daily basis, manage capacity allocation and distribute work, assign responsibilities and coordinate trainings
  • Oversee compliance of the team with the banks control framework and role model an open Risk & Communication culture
  • Undertake secondary responsibilities (e.g. in working groups, acting as Knowledge Owner, support change programs)

Your skills and experience

  • University degree in economics, apprenticeship in banking or equivalent qualification
  • General understanding of corporate cash management and private bank products as well as SEPA/domestic payment methods and instruments
  • Several years of leadership experience in managing teams with client focus and ability to balance between DB interest and client’s interest
  • Interpersonal, communication skills and a problem-solving mind-set combined with analytical skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office incl. Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Strong communicative skills (verbal & writing) in German and English are mandatory
