The Project Manager will be responsible for acting as the field management for the test team, plant contacts, regulatory contacts, and monitoring Montrose Client owner. You’ll need at least 2+ years of experience of source testing and welcome the opportunity to make an impact from day one.

YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS

The ideal candidate will have experience in emissions testing using both Canadian and US EPA emission testing methodologies. Individuals with experience in the following are preferred:

  • Working with air testing equipment and analyzers, 2+ years' experience
  • Capacity for overnight and local travel for multi-weekday projects
  • Repairing electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Experience with calibrating equipment
  • Working independently
  • Manage logistics of the project resources by organizing resources with the logistics manager and office managers prior to the field test
  • Manage the onsite schedule and coordinate with the client plant contacts and regulatory contacts concerning scope changes
  • Manage all daily field operational and safety aspects of the site-specific stack programs
  • Responsible for data review and field quality control
  • Ensure the field test team is staffed appropriately for all tasks and lead, train and mentor field team personnel
  • The ideal candidate should have an Environmental or Chemical degree or diploma. Other diplomas and degrees will be considered. Individuals with no post-secondary education will also be considered

The job will require the following general tasks to be completed on a routine basis:

  • Assisting with emissions testing programs throughout North America
  • Driving to and from work sites, including hauling and parking equipment trailers
  • Preparation, packing, set up, testing and demobilizing for testing programs
  • Calibrating and maintaining emissions sampling equipment
  • Repairing emissions sampling equipment
  • Operating sampling equipment
  • Must be able to exert moderate physical effort, including lifting heavy materials up to 50 pounds
  • Cleaning sampling equipment
  • Delivering samples
  • Data entry in Microsoft Excel
  • Keeping vehicles, storage areas and lab areas clean and organized.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate should have the following:

  • A valid Class G driver’s license
  • A valid passport, and ability to travel and work in the United States
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Ability to work in hot and cold ambient conditions
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (50 lbs.)
  • Ability to travel on short notice
  • Be able to work effectively in a team environment
